Thames Valley PHAB is one of over 170 local clubs across England and Wales that are affiliated to the national organisation whose mission is to inspire people of all abilities to make more of life together.
What we do?
Thames Valley PHAB is for adults in High Wycombe, Marlow and surrounding areas. We exist to promote and encourage people of all abilities to come together on equal terms to achieve complete inclusion within the wider community. We serve people with disabilities, their families, friends and carers and provide social evenings, events, outings and weekends away.
Our activities are in two parts; club nights and outings.
Club nights
Currently we are laying on monthly events at various venues including meals out and shows.
As well as these activities, there is time to socialise with other members, sharing news, experiences and problems.
Subscriptions are very low, just £1.50 per evening, we will try and organise transport through our volunteers for anyone who doesn’t have any.
Outings
There are around six of these a year. For example, in 2016 we visited Black Country Living Museum, Bletchley Park, Cotswold Wildlife Park and Birdworld. We also had a number of picnics and our annual BBQ.
