2 cups plain flour
½ cup salt
2 tbsp cream of tartar
2 tbsp vegetable oil/coconut oil
1 tbsp of pumpkin pie spice (alternatively use a combination of 1 ½ tsp ground ginger, 1 ½ tsp ground cinnamon, ½ tsp ground cloves)
Up to 1.5 cups boiling water
Orange gel food colouring
1. Mix together the flour, salt, cream of tartar, vegetable oil and pumpkin spices in a large mixing bowl. If you would like a stronger scent, then add more pumpkin spice.
2. Add orange food colouring to one cup of boiling water and pour into the other ingredients in your mixing bowl. If you would like your dough a deeper shade of orange, add more drops.
3. Stir the mixture well, until it is combined together and it forms a dough.
4. Once you feel that the dough is cool enough to touch, place it on a flat surface. You may need to use a small amount of flour to dust the work surface if the dough is sticky. Knead until the dough is smooth and stretchy.

and play with
