Baby Room Manager required at a leading chain of Independent  Montessori Nurseries in Wembley & Harrow area  that specializes in Montessori teaching.

We are seeking an experienced full time Level 3 Baby Unit Manager to join their dynamic team at the Ofsted Rated ‘Good’ nursery. The successful Room Leader will have strong knowledge of EYFS, an understanding of children’s development and hold a Level 3 qualification in Childcare or equivalent.

Salary: £28k to £30k

Location – Wembley HA9

Hours – 40 /week (Rotating early & late shifts between 7.30am to 6.30pm)

 The Baby Room -  You would be supervising 24-30 babies and 8-9  members of staff.

 Your main duties as a Baby Room Leader would be :

·         Leading and working as part of a team to ensure the nursery runs smoothly and efficiently.

·         Caring for all children and ensuring their personal and hygiene needs are met daily.

·         Ensuring the children are happy,settled and content.

·         Observing, assessing, and planning for the children’s individual needs, ensuring their development is continuously monitored and create opportunities for children to progress.

·         Keeping up to date and informed of legislation in relation to early education and ensure that all paperwork is in keeping with the EYFS and Ofsted Requirements.

·         Becoming familiarised with the nursery's policies and procedures and working within these.
Sharing creative ideas and willingly involving your team in decision making for the classroom e.g., activities/planning

·         Delegating tasks to your team

·         Forming professional and friendly partnerships with parents and forming secure relationships with the children.

·          Using the nursery app  - training will be provided.

Person Specification for the ideal Baby Room Leader

·         Minimum Level 3 in Childcare & Education

·         The ability to deliver high-quality practice.

·         Strong knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding procedures.

·         Excellent communication skills.

·         Being a positive role model to your team.

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

·         Good ICT skills
