VD Recruitment has partnered with a wonderful Daycare Nursery with excellent management team and fun atmosphere based in North Harrow, walking distance from North Harrow station.

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Level 3- Early Years Practitioner to join their dynamic team at the Ofsted Rated ‘Outstanding’ nursery registered for 94 children.

The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of EYFS, an understanding of children’s development and hold a Level 3 qualification in Childcare or equivalent.

The main duties expected of a Nursery Nurse is to assist in the planning, organising and coordinating a programme of activities within the room, in accordance with the practice guidelines outlined by EYFS and Ofsted.

Salary: £23.5k to £26k PA depending on Qualifications & Experience

Hours: Full time – Between 8am - 6pm, Mon - Fri, (40 Hours per week)

Your Responsibilities as a Nursery Practitioner will be as below :

• To lead by example, supporting and mentoring less experienced team members • To provide high quality care and education for all children in the room

• To create outstanding planning, observations and activities for the children, implementing all areas of the EYFS

• To approve all children observations produced by the staff within the room and to liaise closely with parents and to update them daily on their child's progress

• To liaise closely with the management team in implementing all Nursery policies

• To maintain the register ensuring that all children are signed in and out of the room

• To ensure that all appropriate Health & Safety measures are in place before the room opens

• To ensure that ratios are adhered to at all times

• To ensure the room(s) are clean and tidy at all times

Qualifications and Skills required :

• Candidates must be qualified NVQ level 3 or above.

• Fluency in English is a must.

• To enjoy working to the highest of standard

• First Aid and Food & Hygiene certificates are desirable

The positions are subject to an Enhanced DBS certificate and references.
