Acorn Early Years nursery at Kents Hill is purpose-built in an innovative octagonal shape.

It has lovely, spacious play rooms and a central atrium. Each room leads to extensive garden areas so that the children have access to a range of activities both indoors and outside.

Acorn places a strong emphasis on outdoor learning and the children benefit from Acorn’s forest school sessions.

The nursery is close to the Kingston retail district and approximately four miles from Junction 13 of the M1 and four miles from Central Milton Keynes.

All meals are freshly prepared on-site by the nursery chef, and children help to grow vegetables and look after the nursery chickens in the extensive outdoor play area. The friendly staff team welcomes visits from prospective parents.

Their menus have been carefully planned to be both seasonal and nutritionally balanced and tasty ensuring children have clean plates every time! Their cook, Collin, prepares all the nursery meals and snacks on-site each day, providing nutritionally balanced meals which are both healthy and appetising.

Only fresh, local, ethically sourced produce is used to create delicious meals. They can accommodate most dietary requirements and have won several awards for their food.

A home visit from Elena the manager and the child’s key person is offered to all new families as they believe children benefit from meeting their key person in a familiar environment, before attending the nursery for settling-in sessions.

Children are encouraged to form close bonds using Acorn’s key person system to ensure learning and development are encouraged on an individual
