International Community School London

Shaping the World

7B Wyndham Place , Marylebone , London , W1H 1PN

ICS London is a co-educational international day school in the heart of central London. We are one of only two IB World Schools in the city offering the full International Baccalaureate (IB) programme for learners aged 3 to 18 years.

Providing an inclusive and international community for early years, primary, secondary and high school students, our children and young people study on two close-by locations at our primary and secondary school sites in elegant Marylebone and Paddington.

With over 40 years' experience, we are a truly international school where diversity is celebrated with around 65+ different nationalities represented each year. Our multicultural values combined with our international outlook give the school an open-minded perspective that welcomes diversity encourages cultural connections and brings rich international influences into our classrooms. At ICS London, we strive to create a home from home for students. It’s a welcoming environment where the whole community comes together to shape students into well-rounded people.

Our family of passionate and attentive teachers take a personalised approach to learning with small class sizes and individual support that nurture and develop students. Building lessons around the specific needs of students has the advantage of identifying the potential and strengths of each student – and then creating the right environment for these talents to grow. It means we’re producing well-rounded students – but also well-rounded people, who believe in the value of their abilities to contribute to the world.

Having strong relationship with their teachers gives students real, personalised support throughout their time at ICS London.Quality is assessed, recognised and assured at ICS London through accreditation with the:

  • IB World School: ICS London is authorised and accredited by the International Baccalaureate. This is subject to a strict accreditation process monitored by the IB which ensures our education provision is of the highest quality.

  • Independent Schools Inspectorate: This is a government-approved inspectorate for independent schools which ensures quality on behalf of the UK Department for Education (DfE). ICS London also prides itself on offering a holistic and personalised learning experience:

  • Class sizes: Between 6 and 18 students.

  • Teacher to student ratio: 1 to 5

  • In Secondary School each student is assigned a mentor

  • Individual study plans can be tailored to meet student’s needs

As a rolling admissions policy is in place, students can join anytime throughout the year. Students can also easily transfer from other curriculums, such as the UK or US and join the IB programme at ICS London.

Discover our 2021 IB Results!

It's time to reveal our 2021 DP students' IB results! Congratulations to all of our students! They were all awarded their Diploma this year, with an average point score of 36, almost 3 points above the world average (33.02). 50% of them achieved 39 points or higher (the results are out of 45)

We couldn't be prouder of our future leaders and world citizens for this outstanding achievement!

A rolling admissions policy gives parents and guardians the opportunity to apply and enroll students anytime and well in advance of the planned start date.

This provides families with the greatest flexibility if you are relocating to London, for example, as it doesn't necessarily mean that you'll be arriving just in time for the new school year. This means that students may start their education with us at any point of the academic calendar. School places are allocated a first-come, first-served basis. We may have conditions for entry, which will be more focused on whether a student is ready and prepared to join our community, rather than on any academic achievements.
