For over 160 years, the school was housed in Wellington's oldest building. With its majestic black and white timbered walls, The Old Hall holds a prominent place in Shropshire's history. Originally built in 1840 by Edwards Forester, it remained the family seat for over three hundred years, before becoming a school for small children in the early 19th century.Since that time it has both expanded and evolved to become the school it is today - a fully co-educational, independent preparatory school for girls and boys aged between 4 and 11, and a member of the Independent Association of Preparatory Schools (IAPS).The school moved from the site of The Old Hall to its purpose-built, current premises in 2006. It is this mix of old and new, of tradition and progress, which provides Old Hall with an outstanding opportunity to meet the educational needs of children facing life in the 21st century. At The Old Hall School, we recognise that each child is unique and is the product of unique parents! We understand that whilst most of our parents want similar things for their children, there are often questions, relevant to individual families, which require specific answers.
