The River School

Oakfield House , Droitwich Road , Worcester , WR3 7ST

Welcome to The River School, a non-selective, Independent Christian School in Worcester (since 1985), where staff and parents work together to help students discover God’s purpose for their lives. Our core values centre on bringing out the best in our children; not just academically, but morally, emotionally, socially, physically and spiritually. The foundational Christian principles are very important to us and are fundamental to the way the school operates. Our aim for each student is that they are confident, well-rounded citizens with the best character qualities, skills, discipline and knowledge needed to realise their potential and gifts.

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do, and have done, since the school opened in 1985. They underpin our teaching and learning, and provide a cultural environment which prepares our pupils as confident, happy citizens.

Our vision is to provide the sort of school and education that Jesus would have offered if he had started a school in our day. We aim to provide a community where we seek to honour God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength, and to serve and love our fellow human beings as ourselves.

Consequently, we do not select or exclude pupils on the basis of their academic ability, their church affiliation or the socio-economic background of their families. We aim to include and value every individual as significantly made in the image of their Creator. We want to help them develop strong character qualities and gifts, realise their potential and discover their unique role in the world.

The River School offers a great opportunity not to be missed.
