Lucky Beans Childcare was founded from my home in Balham September in 2016 when I started my childminding business. Since then I have had nothing but happy parents and a record of helping children develop operating a forest school ethos within my nurseries means we focus more on learning outdoors and developing children’s curiosity. As a positive psychologist I also place a lot of emphasis on children personal and emotional development.
Due to the success over the past 3 years and the growing demand from parents for places at my setting in Balham, I was able to grow the business. I now have four additional nurseries:
Little Beans Tooting a boutique nursery, similar to my childminding setting in Balham offering childcare in Tooting. This was opened in January 2019 and caters for children from the age of 6 months to 2 years.
Growing Beans Streatham is a nursery and preschool, which was opened in September 2018 and caters for children from the age of 6 months to 5 years.
Growing Beans Norbury is also a nursery and preschool which caters for children from 6 months to 5 years.
Growing Beans Tooting on Mitcham Road is a nursery and preschool which also provides after school on request.
My fifth site, Growing Beans Tooting, opened in September 2020, takes Lucky Beans Childcare to another level leaving parents spoilt for choice. Each of my nurseries in Norbury, Streatham and Tooting have dedicated, hard-working staff who are all passionate about creating a home away from home, all our children are thriving and excelling, but most importantly they are all loved and treasured by myself and my team.
Lucky Beans has been operating since 2016 and as well as a lovely Playroom at the back of the house, large amounts of books and toys and safety-conscious modifications to all the areas the children are allowed in, I have a great garden and a separate Garden Room for the children to develop and explore. I also make frequent trips to Tooting Bec Common, Balham Library and Triangle Playground.
I create a My Learning Story folder for each child so you can see the progress your child is making. I am also happy to hold regular catch-up and development meetings to discuss your child's progress. I hold occasional, casual get-togethers for parents to meet each other, and I create individual family Whatsapp groups so I can keep you up to date with your child's achievements.
I am fully Ofsted registered, a member of PACEY, I am currently training to be a qualified nursery school teacher , and am first aid trained and have a level 2 food hygiene certificate. I hold certificates from Wandsworth Council for home-based care and safeguarding, and am also a fully qualified Chartered Psychologist.
